fajitaDrBacchus: rewrite flags is http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_rewrite.html#rewriteflags
godzirrapctony: Not much. I've been trying to figure out how to rewrite it, but I can't figure out how to tell if the site starts with https://
I know I want to do "RewriteRule <something> https://site.mydomain.com/ [N]"
but I'm not sure how to do the 'something' part ;0
DrBacchusfajita: http2https
fajitaDrBacchus: http2https is http://rewrite.drbacchus.com/rewritewiki/SSL
godzirraAwesome. Thanks DrBacchus
Davemangodzirra :)
godzirrahiya Daveman
Davemanhowdy :)
godzirraSo this: "RewriteCond %{HTTPS} ==on" tells me the site is https://something?
smharhello
DrBacchusgodzirra: Yes
godzirraThanks.
fajitaNo worries
smharI have a shared hosting account where I have drupal installed. I am setting a multi-site config. I have several domains added to my account and cpanel creates a directory of the domain name under www .
What I want is to point each domain directly to www, so the only solution I knew of was to delete the directory and create a symlink of its name pointing to public_html
godzirraHrm. That didnt seem to work. I.e. I've probably done something wrong.
This seems right: RewriteCond %{HTTPS} ==on - RewriteRule ^/(.*) https://$site.tunportals.com/$1 [R,N]
i'm using mod macro, so $site automagically gets turned into my site name
DrBacchusgodzirra: No.
godzirra: != or =
godzirra: not ==
smharI was told DocumentRoot is the neater solution for this.
DrBacchusYou were told correctly.
godzirraOh.
Ok.
smharwhen I requested this from the support people of the hosting company they told me this:'To acheive the same result you may park the domains over the domain name associated with the main username from the domain's cpanel. '
what does he mean?
godzirraHrm.
DrBacchus: Now it redirects to teh wrong site occasionally.
jMCgsmhar: you want something like foo.tld to resolve to www.foo.tld?
smharjMCg, no I just want my 4 or 5 domains foo.com bar.com fubar.com etc all pointing to the single index.php available in /public_html which will handle the multi-site config of drupal
jMCgserveralias
fajitaserveralias is http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#serveralias or http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/core.html#serveralias or http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#serveralias
jMCgsmhar: ^
godzirraDrBacchus: actually when I go to https://www.site.com, it gives me a cert for www.site.com, then for www.randomsite.com, then for site.mydomain.com (Which is the only one it -should- get)
smharjMCg, so it is serveralias not DocumentRoot?
jMCgDocumentRoot
godzirraDrBacchus: Any idea?
