|ralze||are all files in /etc/apache2 read by apache when starting? i guess not. but which are?|
i read some documentation on apache.org, but couldn't really find it
maybe you know the document i'm looking for?
the only thing i found in the doc was that httpd.conf ist read. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/configuring.html
but that file is empty ...
|Supaplex||ralze: it's apache2.conf. and since it's debian, the maintiner(s) decide how/why it differs from upstream. see dpkg -l apache2\* for all apache2 related packages on your system, and dpkg -L package to see files in that package. There can be man pages, shared docs, scripts and other misc things to look into. See also the debian mailing lists|
|x_or||Supaplex: I don't see that documented when I do this search in google: "+site:httpd.apache.org whereami"|
|jwl007||anyone know what could prevent images from being displayed outside the localhost?|
|x_or||Supaplex: Do you have a link?|
|gidz||jwl007: how are the linked? <a href="localhost/image.jpg"> ?|
|jwl007||well its with joomla, so i assume they are all relative, but ill check|

|Supaplex||x_or: I made that up. what are you expecting when you serve up /about/company/bio/index.shtml ?|
|ralze||Supaplex: it seems i did not do my homework! but thanks to you now i found some documents that seem quite helpful!|

|MarkH_UK||hi all, my forcetype doesnt appear to be working in .htaccess, moved all the files from one server to the other|
same configuration as the other machine and it isnt working.
anyone about to help ?
|x_or||Supaplex: Ah, well, I want to highlight a specific link in the navigation bar when the associated specific enclosing page is loaded. Meaning, if they click on the "Documentation" link and load documentation.html that the "Documentation" link inside of the documentation page is bolded, or something similar.|
|tensor||hello, anyone know of a good how-to on chroot-ing apache2 on ubuntu?|
|fajita||ForceType may be used in .htaccess files if AllowOverride is set to FileInfo|
jpeg: forcetype is http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/core.html#forcetype or http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_mime.html#forcetype
|x_or||Supaplex: I think I can use variables, and then if/else/elsif statements, it looks like variables I set are supported.|
|MarkH_UK||jpeg, it works fine on one server.. same configs|
|Supaplex||then what's different?|
