|saint_||I have a question .. I am trying to write a CGI so people cannot download files with direct link..|
it's almost working.. but when I send the file to the client, I use "Content-type: text/AU" because AU is unknown, and it's the only solutiion I found to force a "SAVE AS" box poping up .. Any way to have this box put the good file name ?
|Gevaudan82||Hello all. I'm having trouble coming up with a rewrite direction to redirect users to the root of my website (index.php) when a user trys to access any file which is not an image or css file directly. I've tryed something like this but with no luck: RewriteRule !\.(gif|jpg|png|css)$ /web_root_loc/index.php|
|jMCg||Stil the most frequently solution is to simply tell people to use [Right-click]-[Save as].|
|saint_||jMCg, Yeah, but they won t come with a browser, this application answer only to a client who has a http client embeded ... and there is some exchange before for the authorization ..|
|nuclearsn||... i just totally screwed up. I went to install apache on a new machine, but instead didnt realize that i was connected the the production machine.. is there anyway to get the config files back?|
|saint_||but what would be the proper way to send a file to a http client, with the "SAVE AS" box coming up , with the name that I would decide ? (they can change it, of course)|
saint_: look for a php download script. It sends the proper headers you're looking for
|nuclearsn||..other then backups|
|saint_||I am trying to use Content-disposition: attachment; filename=temp.exe , but with no luck ..|
|nuclearsn||unerase software for linux?|
|thumbs||let's see what I use, saint_|
nuclearsn: google it
Response.AddHeader "Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" & objFile.Name
Response.AddHeader "Content-Length", objFile.Size
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
saint_: ASP code, but you get the idea.
let me try that.. i tried the other way around ..
|mepolarbear||Does ANYONE know what can cause this: httpd dead but subsys locked ? Or better yet, how I fix it?|
|thumbs||mepolarbear: not a suexec guru, sorry|
|mepolarbear||I've googled everything I can find but no working solutions yet. My error log only shows trouble with a mem_limit of 16 but nothing else I can see.|
|fajita||internet is the source of all DrBacchus's problems, really.|
|mepolarbear||And rebooting doesn't seem to make a difference. I am on Fedora Core 6 trying to run Apache 2.2.3.|
|saint_||thumbs, ok... my big mistake.. it s working now .. I used Content-Disposition, attachmen; filename=xxx|
thumbs, thank you
